Act Now: Urge Congress to Support Funding for Critical Legal Services

KIND works to keep unaccompanied children safe so they can thrive. This work includes making sure they have access to high-quality legal representation to help them navigate the complex U.S. immigration system. The federal government’s recent abrupt decision to stop funding vital legal services, including facilitating pro bono representation and other legal assistance for unaccompanied children, places their lives in danger. Although the government lifted that stop-work order, we are concerned that these critical services remain at risk.

Contact your members of Congress and urge them to support this fundamental, anti-trafficking safeguard by pushing the administration to renew the legal services contract that protects unaccompanied children against trafficking, exploitation, and other abuses.
