Not only do children deserve better—their welfare depends on it. On the heels of devastating Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shootings in Minnesota, and as the U.S. Senate takes up Fiscal Year 2026 spending bills, we must urge our leaders to take meaningful action to reform DHS and uphold the safety and well-being of children.
