The current administration has implemented numerous policy changes that put the safety and well-being of unaccompanied and separated children in U.S. government custody at risk, including a host of measures that needlessly prolong children’s detention in Office of Refugee Resettlement facilities and prevent their reunification with loving caretakers, as well as practices that force detained children to proceed with court hearings without adequate legal representation.
Contact your members of Congress now to demand they immediately use their authority to investigate and remedy the indefinite government detention that unaccompanied and separated children are experiencing in Office of Refugee Resettlement facilities.
